  • So about me, huh?

    My name is Nick and I’m an artist, designer, music consumer, and pun enthusiast.

    I’ve been artist since early childhood, starting out by trying to draw my first generation Pokémon Trading Cards when I was around 6 years old. From that point, I never stopped drawing. I starting out with traditional art and branched out to digital mediums as I got older.

    Along with the mediums, I also expanded into as many subjects and styles as I could. My personal favorite style has been photorealism for years. I love the attention to every minute detail it requires, and personal challenge of trying to cram as much as you can into every inch of the drawing; demanding a steady hand and lots of patience.

    While I am self taught artist in most regards, I went to college and received my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design to expand my artistic skill set, and still have the enthusiasm to work on my personal projects. While I also enjoy designing, drawing itself is my true passion.

What else?

  • I also am an avid video game player, since the days of NES in my childhood to now. I actually heavily considered going into Video Game Development in College as a career path at one time (as well as Professorship, and even Tattoo art. I toyed with a few options). I avidly follow a few eSports scenes, specifically Super Smash Bros Melee (#freemelee) and I’ve actually competed in a few local Melee tournames over the years.

    ... Oh, and I also love music. I make it a personal goal to listen to something new every day, whether a new song or full album. Finding that artist or song that just clicks with you, connecting with someone while discussing their favorites, discovering a new genre you didn’t even know you’d like, or learning something new about a song when the meaning of a line makes sense… all of that and more makes me a voracious music consumer.

    I also love recommending music to people, or receiving recommendations. Because of that, I have maintained lists of my favorites in music (albums, artists, etc). All of which will be listed below soon, if you are at all curious as to my musical tastes, or are looking for some new music from a video game obsessed, overachieving artist you just found out about

    (spoiler; my favorite genres are Hip-Hop and classical/ ambient/ instrumental. Weird combination, huh?)
